Client: Beaverton High School (BHS)
Location: Beaverton, OR 97005
Beaverton High School (BHS) recently renovated its 99 year old high school, with the overall goal of optimizing it for “collaborative learning.” The largest newly remodelled area is the BHS Library, where it was gutted and transformed into a new open concept with movable furniture and easy access to collaboration technology. Around the corner, the College and Career Center was also heavily revamped with new technology, furniture and paint. The center now has the flexibility to allow groups and pairs of people to collaborate in different areas of the room.
BHS turned to Collaboration Solutions, Inc (CSi) to assist with many of their renovation efforts. CSi and their partners provided 100% of the furniture, as well as large digital whiteboards (SMART Kapp devices) in multiple spaces. CSi may also help BHS with A/V installs in three of these spaces – the Library, Community Center, and College Center.
The Beaverton district plans to use this successful collaboration and renovation project as a model for 6 additional schools either under construction or being renovated.
